This past Sunday I went to check out a location for an upcoming photo session. While I was at it, I jumped on the opportunity to snap some pictures of my kids. In less than 5 minutes I decided what they were going to wear & hoped for the best.. (usually this decision can take a whole lot longer than that)
As a Mother & Photographer, I’m usually conflicted about bringing my camera on family outings. I like being present and I feel like my camera can be a bit of a distraction. However, I also value beautiful photos and don’t want to miss the opportunity. So this time I decided to bring it along, and I’m glad I did. Children grow up so quickly! As a parent, I want to hold on to these present moments forever. I want to remember their adorable expressions they make. In reality, I know that I won’t be able to repeat that minute, hour & day again. So I take their pictures, save them, hang them on the wall and when I walk past I always smile because I know I will cherish those memories forever.
South Shore Riverfront Park is a beautiful spot for a photo session. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail near the water, a bridge view and buildings in the distance, all make for a really nice spot to get your photos taken. If you enjoy running, jogging or biking like I do, you must check this trail out!
